I’ve stayed at this hotel three times in three consecutive years now and it has never disappointed. Switzerland can get really expensive really fast, but one thing you can count on is having a budget hotel to stay in and Saint Georges Hotel fits the bill perfectly. Especially Zürich as it’s one of the most expensive cities in the world. I can’t say enough good things about the man at reception who always wears a fine Swiss watch and nicely pressed shirt. Always looking professional. The lady at reception is always amazing as well. They’re both cordial and welcoming. The room is big enough for one to move around in and having a personal sink is fantastic. It’s hit and miss with me and hotel pillows, but the ones at Saint Georges I loved. A hearty breakfast for 15 CHF is offered, which is a bargain for Swiss prices. Despite the use of shared bathrooms, cleanliness is second to none. It always looks like the rooms with either the toilet or shower were just cleaned after having been used not long before. Having a room with a balcony is scenic and gives you full, deep breaths of fresh, clean air. The lobby is comfy and spacious for deciding your next move or taking a break after your last one. The hotel being near the river offers some scenic views as well.

Location was fantastic, easily reached from the airport. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhoood but not far from old town and Zurich HB. The staff was friendly and we much appreciated the offer to allow us to check in at 10am to an available room even without us asking. A limited but well curated spread (wonderful bread, cheese and cold cuts) for breakfast. The items were not my usual favourite food but they were excellent so much so that I took several helpings. The staff at the breakfast table was attentive and took great pride in his job. The room was comfortable and the shared toilet was clean. There was never moments I had to wait to use the shared toilet or shower.

The staff, especially Mac, were very friendly and helpful. My friend and I felt very ‘at home’ at this hotel. The location was within easy walking distance to Lake Zurich and all the attractions. Single room was small but very adequate. Was a bit worried about having a ‘shared bathroom’ setup, but it was fine. Never had to wait for an available shower or toilet cubicle. The hotel was very clean and the buffet breakfast was good. Also, there was a very nice Japanese restaurant only a few metres down the road.

Clean, friendly hotel away from the busy areas but close enough to get to everything easily. The staff were extremely helpful. They found us a kettle and two tea mugs for our room so we could rest with some warm tea after we were tried from traveling. There was a small lift. We had the shared bathroom but it was quite nice and clean with an additional toilet room next to it. It was never a problem to use. There was a sink, desk and dresser in our room. It was quite comfortable and spacious.

Staff were welcoming and efficient. The accommodation was pristine and well maintained. The room was spacious, with a nice view over the square. The bed was comfortable. We had shared toilet and shower facilites, but they were clean, well equipped and there was never a problem with accessing them when needed. Breakfast was excellent. The location was very good. We were able to walk to and from the station easily with luggage. Umbrellas were available to borrow, which were welcome.
